Senior NetSuite Consultant – Financials (Bilingual)
We are seeking a bilingual Senior Consultant with a strong accounting foundation to join our team. In this role you will own the financial side of our NetSuite implementations — advising clients not only on how to configure the system, but on how to run sound accounting practice inside it.
The ideal candidate has lived the work: time spent as an accountant, controller, or finance analyst before moving into consulting. You know what a well-structured chart of accounts looks like, what makes a period close go smoothly, and where GL impacts tend to go wrong. You bring that judgment to every client conversation, with a white-glove approach to understanding the business, designing the solution, and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.
Our clients operate across Retail, Wholesale, Services and Manufacturing, and you will be their trusted advisor on everything from daily transaction flows to month-end reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and oversee SuiteSuccess implementations, ensuring alignment with client objectives and adherence to best practices
- Advise clients on accounting best practices within NetSuite: chart of accounts design and segmentation, journal entry standards and approval workflows, period close procedures, and reporting structures (many more)
- Design the financial backbone of each implementation: account hierarchy, subsidiaries, departments, classes, locations, custom segments, so that reporting needs are met from day one rather than retrofitted
- Guide clients in NetSuite, identifying where manual effort can be reduced and where controls need strengthening
- Review and explain GL impacts across transaction types, helping clients understand how operational activity flows through to the financial statements
- Configure and advise on core financial modules including General Ledger, AR, AP, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and multi-currency, etc.
- Leverage niche module knowledge such as Revenue Recognition, Job Costing, or SuiteBilling to design tailored solutions that address unique client challenges
- Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with controllers, CFOs and finance teams to understand their reporting, compliance and close requirements thoroughly
- Develop comprehensive solution designs and roadmaps tailored to each client's goals and industry best practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation and support phase, providing guidance, expertise and consistent updates
- Effectively manage smaller projects by coordinating resources, timelines and deliverables to achieve successful outcomes
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that project milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget
- Work closely with development teams to ensure technical implementations align with functional and accounting requirements
- Dispatch tasks that fall outside the Senior Consultant's expertise to appropriate team members, monitoring progress to ensure completion through the task cycle
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, providing strategic recommendations to enhance client operations
- Act as a strategic advisor, building strong, long-term relationships with clients by delivering value-driven solutions and insights
- Provide ongoing post-implementation support and recommendations for additional optimizations and enhancements
- Any other delegated responsibilities by the Employer
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of overall relevant domain experience in one or more of NetSuite’s core vertical markets (e.g. Wholesale, Manufacturing, Services and/or Retail.)
- 10+ end-to-end NetSuite ERP implementation experience.
- CPA/MBA/Accounting designations (An asset)
- Excellent ability to speak in French and English
- NetSuite Certifications
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience designing and architecting business process flow charts
- Ability to evolve Customer business processes based on leading practices
- Ability to travel on a modest to moderate basis, when appropriate
- Knowledge of NetSuite products in the products space (An asset)
